The state branches of the union met over the court of appeal ruling last week, following which participants voted to conditionally drop the strike.
The court of appeal had issued an order to ASUU to drop the strike before its appeal of the ruling ordering lecturers to resume work may be heard.
The national executive Committee meeting turned into attended by using chairmen of the state chapters and participants of the national executive at the ASUU national Secretariat in Abuja.
