A tragedy unfolded today in Akete ward of Donga, Taraba State as thugs violently stormed the Collation center, destroying sensitive and non-sensitive materials related to the ongoing general election. The perpetrators of this deplorable act made off with election materials, leaving no hope for the people of Akete to participate in the voting process and have their voices heard in this historic election.

The full extent of the attack is still yet to be determined, and authorities are urging people to stay away from the scene of the crime for their own safety. It is uncertain whether a new polling center will be established in order for Akete citizens to vote.
