Re: suspension of chief david sabo kente from the all progressives congress, taraba state.
1. It has become necessary for us to respond to the matter referred above in order to protect the minds of innocent readers from falling to the cheap antics of our detractors. The futile suspension of Chief David Sabo Kente from the APC on baseless grounds by one Fidelis Francis is a joke taken too far. The error ridden WhatsApp concocted letter of suspension is even by itself an aberration of due process. Suspension letters do not take effect on WhatsApp platform but is been served in hard copy through the proper channel. What we read on WhatsApp was embarrassingly garrulous, and incomprehensible riot of a suspension letter.
2. Aside from the fact that only the ward chairman of the party is legally bound by the constitution of the party to suspend a member, the APC in Taraba state under the leadership of Hon James Ahmadu has praised Chief David Sabo Kente for working tirelessly for APC to produce the only senator in Taraba and also for delivering his polling unit, ward, Local government and Zone to the APC at the presidential elections and would not allow some bad elements within the party to destroy this gains.
3. It is no longer news that Chief David Sabo Kente and his political allies in the APC have worked tirelessly for the success of the APC in the last concluded presidential and National Assembly elections. For the record, Chief David Sabo Kente now has in his political camp, Hon Jimkuta S.U David, the only APC senator in Taraba who defeated the PDP sitting governor Arch Darius Ishaku Dickson. His political acceptability and wave has also secured victory for the party in the house of representative elections for Wukari/Ibi Federal constituency. In the presidential elections, Chief David Sabo Kente did not only delivered his polling units, he also delivered his ward and Local Government for the APC presidential candidate. By doing this, we know Chief DSK would attract more attacks than ever but it is too late at this time to rewrite his achievements.
4. We are aware of the fact that Emmanuel Bwacha and his co-travellers who could not deliver their various wards for the presidential candidate of the APC now president elect of Nigeria are already jittery on the gains achieved by Chief David Sabo Kente. We’re not surprised because, they have lost all the moral grounds to talk and are now resorting to hitting up the party by orchestrating this ineffective WhatsApp suspension letter so as to make the environment uncomfortable to consolidate on the gains achieved by Chief David Sabo Kente. We wish to state clearly that, we are miles ahead of their primitive game and would not fall for this formula.
5. Further more Chief David Sabo Kente like other stakeholders of the party is still mindful of the fact that APC does not have a governorship candidate in Taraba by virtue of the judgement of the Supreme Court on Wednesday 1st February 2022, in the matter between Chief David Sabo Kente Vs Emmanuel Bwacha where the former challenged victoriously the legitimacy of the candidature of the latter. In obedience to the judgement of the Supreme Court, INEC who was the second respondent in the case has longed delist the name of Emmanuel Bwacha and APC in the ballots for the forthcoming governorship elections. But regardless of the fact on ground, Chief David Sabo Kente will not be disenfranchise and has taken a step in the right direction to support a governorship candidate to exercise his fundamental human right. Just as in different quarters of the state, several APC faithfuls publicly supported candidates from other political parties.
6. The DSK media organisation wish to use this medium to assuage the general public to disregard the puerile suspension letter flying in the social media. Chief David Sabo Kente is still a bonafide member of the party, and will also not appear before any imaginary disciplinary committee. We also implore our detractors to instead invest their time in more profitable ventures than working hard to engage on fruitless projects. Chief David Sabo Kente is unperturbed by this petty distractions.
